Fairfax Cowboy's home on the web!

Welcome to the Fairfax Cowboys. We are a committed Basketball Club that's geared towards providing a positive environment for young athletes. Our aim is to grow and develop student athletes physically, mentally, and spiritually. This club provides training and mentorship through league and tournament activities to build stronger bodies, stimulate alertness of mind, and enhance spiritual values. We expect each player to play with H.E.A.R.T. as this is our core value - Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Trust.

Cowboys 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade teams offer an opportunity for interested players to compete in a highly competitive environment.

Our Coaching Philosophy embodies a passion for the game of basketball and teamwork. Each athlete must become disciplined and remember that basketball is not an individual sport. It is a team sport and we would love to have you on our team.

Roland Houston, former coach LaSalle University, George Washington University, and George Mason University is now providing one on one training sessions and/or group training sessions in the Northern Virginia area.

He comes with a wealth of experience working with athlete's at every level. Houston played a critical role in the development of several successful student-athletes including Rasual Butler, currently of the Washington Wizards.

When asked about his college coach, Rasual stated, "Coach Houston understands what it takes for young guys to make it to the next level. He's a hard worker and a really genuine person. He definitely helped me with my big-man skills. I wasn't a very good rebounder until Coach Houston got there, and once he got there; my rebounding went up tremendously. He taught me some techniques and skills that I still use to this day."
